Please, I need advice. This is actually my first time asking for advice from the public. 🙏🏼
I met this guy on Facebook. We've been talking for months, and to be honest, he really seems to love me. I said yes when he asked for my hand in marriage — but the truth is, we haven’t even met in person yet. Everything has been over the phone.
I'm trying to know him more before making a final decision. I’ve been married before, and I told him about it. He said he’s okay with it, which I respect.
However, he doesn't support me financially. Anytime I bring it up, he says the money he’s expecting hasn’t arrived. Still, we talk every day and have good communication.
But now he’s planning to move to my state — and wants us to live together so we can “build together” until he’s ready to marry. He said this way, we won’t both be wasting money on rent in two different places.
I don’t feel comfortable with that idea. I know some people start like this, but I’m scared. My first marriage failed, and I don’t want to carry all the responsibility again. I want to do things the right way this time.
He says if I don't agree, it's fine, but I know he's expecting me to. Please, am I wrong to say no? Would it make sense to live with a man I haven’t even met face-to-face?
I just want peace. I don’t want to make another painful mistake. Please advise me. 🙏
