Today, I’m living with deep regret.
When my brother left, I was a single mother. The man who got me pregnant had abandoned me. It was my brother who stepped in. He fed me and took care of my child like it was his.
After he traveled to Dubai, he started sending me money to buy land and build a house. I didn’t know what to do, so I turned to my ex-boyfriend for help — the same one who had left me before. He promised to handle everything. I trusted him.
I handed over the money to him — and he used it to buy land, build the house, and even start a shop with the rest. All the documents were in his name. He told me not to tell my brother yet — that he wanted to surprise him one day.
I was a fool. I gave him everything.
By the time my brother returned unannounced, I had 2 more kids for this man. My brother asked for the documents, but I had nothing to show. The betrayal was too much. He left home and disappeared. Till today, I don’t know where he is.
Now this same man beats me. He doesn't care for me or the kids. He’s started sleeping outside. He kicked me out of the house that my brother's money built.
I’m broken. I want to find my brother and beg him. Please, if you know someone called Mike from Ajegunle who just returned from Dubai, tell him Debi is sorry. I want to fix this. I want him to forgive me.
